Surgical Technician - OR Tech CareerStaff Unlimited is currently searching for a Surgical Tech in the Grass Valley, NV ! • 8 hour day or evening shifts
• 40 hours a week

• Weekly direct deposit JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  
• 2+ years of CURRENT experience
• Must be able to respond to emergent situations
• BLS
• Certified Surgical Technologist
• MUST be detail oriented JOB DESCRIPTION:
  
• Will act as a member of the surgical team
• Primarily function in a scrubbing capacity
• Might assist in circulating duties in the surgical suite
• Maintain aseptic technique while providing a quiet environment in the OR suite
• Share in OR suite preparation
• Will use and maintain specialized equipment and supplies used for specific surgical procedures UNIT NOTES: Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 6 hours to complete. Unit OR # suites 3 suites. 2 in use most of the time Certs BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Surgeries per day EMR Cerner Charge Nurse Manager. Nurse Aides CSTs Weekend Requirement No regular weekend. 1 weekend call per month. Holidays Rotate in with core staff Scrub Color Provided. Tele Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips. Vents Yes Surgeon available 24/7 During regular hours, call overnight and weekend. IV Team No RT 24/7 Yes Pharmacy 24/7 Yes Call Call required 1900-0700 weekdays, 12 or 24hr weekends. Shifts Will try to accommodate traveler preference, but OR need will determine shift availability. Floating All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen. Rare for OR RN to float to another facility. Floor specific orientation 1 - 2 days in OR with preceptor. Common diagnosis / Types of patients General OR, and ortho cases. No high risk, trauma, CABG, or neuro.
