Job Description:

One of Sacramento's premiere Mechanical Contractors seeks an experienced Estimator. This is a perfect career opportunity for someone who is interested becoming a Chief Estimator within the next 2-3 years.

Relocation is available for the perfect candidate. Sacramento is centrally located within a two hour drive from South Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, and Yosemite making it an ideal location for the active lifestyle.

Ideal candidate will posses experience in the following:

Estimating of plumbing and piping systems, review of plans and specifications in support of accurate scope coverage and related pricing, support of design and conceptual budgeting activities.

Work Performed

? Prepare cost estimates for plumbing, piping work, and fire suppression including labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct costs.

? Review plans and specifications to determine scope of work.

? Take-off material and provide accurate quantity surveys. Adjust labor production factors based on degree of difficulty.

? Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.

? Conduct conceptual estimating in support of budget proposals.

? Support sales initiatives including interviews and presentations.

? Participate in design/build activities.

? Develop value engineering options with recommendations based on cost, engineering, equality, and availability of materials.

? Maintain files of working documents.

? Contract negotiation and regular meetings such as toolbox meetings and job meetings

? Creating submittal packages

? Daily reporting of tasks is encouraged, good organizational skills

Qualifications

? 5-15 years experience in estimating with an advanced knowledge of piping/plumbing/Hydronic systems in a commercial or industrial industries.

? Strong written and verbal skills.

? Familiar with Plumbing systems, design and engineering.

? Engineering degree or equivalent technical training and/or experience a plus.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL PROCESS PIPPING AND PLUMBING. PLEASE PROVIDE A RECENT LIST OF PROJECTS.
