Annual Salary: $111,812 - $136,500 DOE/DOQ
The County of Nevada, California, seeks an Assistant County
Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters (Official Title: ) to lead the
activities of the Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters Department,
including 10 staff across two divisions and two budgets totaling
approximately $5 million. This at-will role is an exciting
opportunity to serve the elected County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of
Voters in kickstarting innovative new practices while also serving
as a key resource for the County. This collaborative leader will
work on a variety of exciting initiatives, such as testing new
statewide voter registration database management systems and
getting the Department more connected with the community by
attending events and increasing visibility and engagement. They
will balance overseeing the records management aspect of this role
with elections-based tasks, while serving as a people manager,
delegating tasks, training staff, and inspiring motivation across
the team. They will stay up to date on the latest regulations and
laws to protect the integrity of both the recording and election
processes. The ideal candidate will naturally possess a high level
of integrity and ethics, as well as an eagerness to communicate
with a wide range of people, whether they be community members,
other departments, outside agencies, or legislative bodies. They
will navigate political situations with ease and demonstrate strong
conflict resolution skills while remaining steadfast in their
