Job Summary: The Medical Career College of Northern California's Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the curriculum for the Limited Permit X-Ray Technician Program and for enforcing the policies and procedures of the school. General Accountability: Assuring that the instructors teach the appropriate courses in accordance with the assigned program. Maintaining documentation of extern student records Ensuring that the classroom has an atmosphere that is conducive to learning. Helping to maintain cleanliness and security. Reviewing of textbooks and curricula materials Attending scheduled meetings, seminars, advisory board meeting and conferences as required Evaluating and maintaining clinical proficiency and check-off lists for each student Maintaining student clinical evaluation reviews in accordance with the school policy Acting as liaison between the school and the extern facility to enhance student learning and maintaining good public relations with extern sites. Securing of affiliation agreements with clinical sites Conducting introductory and exit meetings for students prior to starting externship. Matching students to their extern sites. Providing verbal and written counseling as needed. Securing of student evaluation forms for the extern site for completion of the program Evaluating and maintaining clinical proficiency skill list for each extern student Accomplishing all other tasks and special projects as required Assuring that extern students maintain accurate student records. Assuring that extern site policy and procedure manuals are up to date. Communicating with extern sites regarding the student's progress Communicating with other extern coordinators if job sharing Assuring that safety measures are in place at the externship site. Ensuring that the facility atmosphere is conducive to learning. Assuring that students arrive ready to learn and wearing the appropriate attire. Assuring that students have name badges, markers and film badges. Monitoring student's attendance (timesheets/attendance logs) while on externship Calling students regarding attendance and timesheets Assists in visiting all extern students on site every 4 to 6 weeks. Work with the School Director, and the Director of Education as needed with assisting students with their State Examination applications, tutoring schedules, test dates, results, database updates and appropriate follow up. Qualifications: Education and Experience: Hold one of the following permits/licenses: XT, CRT, ARRT Associates Degree Minimum of 2 years of practical work experience in the field Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Salary: $34 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
