Roseville, CA CNC Machine Operator Job Description: PrideStaff is
working with a local business to fill the need of a CNC Machine
Operator. The Machine Operator plans and performs a variety of
machine operations utilizing numerical control machining centers to
cut, shape or form metal workpieces to specifications by performing
the following duties. This is Full-Time, Temp to Hire position with

time 8 HR work day! Job Requirements:Machine Operator Job
Responsibilities: ---Reads and interprets blueprints, planning
sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine
---tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and
machining methods and sequences. ---Prepare and pre-sets all tools
needed for machining operations. ---Verifies that fixture setup
meets acceptable quality standards regarding milling and boring
sizes, depths, angels, or other specifications. ---Mounts, aligns,
and secures tooling, attachments, and workpiece on machine.
---Assembles cutting tools in toolholders and positions toolholders
in machine magazines. - ---Loads control media such as tape, card,
or disk, in machine controller or enters commands to retrieve
preprogrammed instructions from database. ---Calculates and sets
machine controls to position spindle in relationship to workpiece
and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and
coolant flow. ---Starts machine and monitors displays and machine
operation to detect malfunctions. ---Stops machine to change
cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or
to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
---Enters commands or manually adjusts machine controls to correct
malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. ---Operates machine
manually to perform nonautomated functions and when automatics
programming is faulty or machine malfunctions. ---Discusses control
media errors with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve
problems. ---Cleans machine, tooling and parts. ---Performs machine
maintenance. ---Analyzes drawings, specifications and phototool
(photographic film copy of printed circuit pattern) to determine
program input data such as hole sizes, tool sizes, reference
points, and direction of machine cutting paths. ---Calculates data
such as starting point coordinates (location), size of panels or
boards, and number of boards per panel. ---Draws machine tool paths
on phototool following guidelines for tool speed and efficiency to
prepare phototool for use as tool programming aid. ---Aligns and
secures phototoool on reference table of optical programmer.
---Observes enlarger scope of programmer that projects image of
circuit board pattern from phototool. ---Moves reference table,
following previously marked paths, to align phototool circuit
pattern holes with reference marks on enlarger scope. ---Depresses
pedal or pushes button of programmer to enter coordinates of hole
locations into program memory. ---Repeats process for each hole
location on phototool to enter NC machine instructions such as hole
locations, machine paths, and reference points. ---Keys in
additional instructions such as tool size, machine feed and speed
rates, and starting point coordinates. ---Types commands on
keyboard to general NC tape. ---Observes trial run of NC machine to
verify tape program accuracy. ---Revises NC tape program to
eliminate instruction errors. CNC Machine Operator Job
Requirements: ---High School diploma or general education degree
(GED) and one to three years of related experience and/or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience. ---Ability
to read and comprehend simple instructions, diagrams, short
correspondence, and memos. ---Ability to effectively present
information in one-on-one and small group situations to other
employees of the organization. ---Ability to add, subtract,
multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions and decimals. ---Ability to compute rate, ratio
and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. ---Ability to
apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but
uninvolved written or oral instructions. - ---Ability to deal with
problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized
situations. CNC Machine Operator Physical Demands: ---Reasonable

required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools and
controls; and reach with hands and arms. - ---The employee must be
able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50

close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,
depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. ---The noise
level in the work environment is usually loud.
