reports with this position.POSITION SUMMARY: Under general
supervision, the Assembler II, assembles electronics components
and/or circuit boards that meet established quality standards.
Employees in this job class perform detailed and close-up assembly
work, inspect packages, and label various types of assemblies. This
job class requires knowledge of IPC electronic standards, ability
to interpret assembly instructions and the ability to work with
precision, accuracy and attention to detail.TYPICAL DUTIES:1.
*Assembles electronics components and/or circuit boards following a
standardized set of procedures.2. *Programs, tests, and
troubleshoots assemblies.3. *Ability to solder meeting IPC
specifications4. *Assists other departments in programming,
testing, packaging and labeling.5. Performs other duties and
special projects as assigned.* Denotes Essential Job
FunctionMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:--- Three years of work experience,
preferably in circuit board inspection and assembly;--- Ability to
work with sufficient speed, accuracy, and attention to detail to
perform job functions as required;--- Ability to communicate
effectively and respond to questions and requests;--- Effective
written communication skills using appropriate business English;
--- Computer literacy to use business software, the Internet, enter
data/retrieve data;--- Human relations skills to build effective
working relationships;--- Demonstrated customer service, problem
solving and common sense skills.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:High School
Diploma or GEDCERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:The following
licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state
and/or contract requirements:Not ApplicablePHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS:Employees must have the ability to perform the
following physical demands for extended periods of time with or
without assistance:--- Utilizing keyboard --- Viewing computer
monitor and detailed work requiring close vision--- Assembling
small parts requiring manual dexterity --- Lifting and moving boxes
or equipment up to 25 poundsWORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is performed in a
manufacturing environment with forklifts and production equipment.
Employees may be exposed to noise from equipment in a manufacturing
environment and may be exposed to elevated temperatures, high heat,
occasional fumes, toxic chemicals, and airborne
