Ideal Candidate

The Information Technology department is looking for a full-time, limited-term Database Analyst I/II to develop and manage the City's Open Data platform. Initiatives include tracking city council goals, presenting data related to capital improvement projects, and measuring budget performance. This position is in the Data Intelligence Division. Our team sees data as more than rows and columns, it tells stories that yield invaluable insights that help us solve problems, make better decisions, and create solutions. This position is responsible for building and maintaining systems that unlock the power of data. The successful candidate will be able to create data analytics & business intelligence solutions; develop open data reports and dashboards; manage security related to open data; diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues related to the accuracy and presentation of open data; extract, transform, and load data from source systems; create automation to achieve open data goals; provide support and technical expertise to City departments related to their open data needs and business goals; administer data analytics, business intelligence, and data reporting platforms; communicate clearly and concisely; and build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other City employees, and the public.
