Job Summary


The Cook is responsible for the timely preparation of food items according to set recipe specifications in a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. This position is also responsible for preparing food for one or more service areas, such as the trayline, cafeteria, cafeteria grill, deli, catering, etc. This is the fully operational level for this series. The Cook is responsible for the setup and preparation of items for all Food Services, according to recipes to meet Department standards. The Cook requires previous training and/or experience in food preparation techniques.
