Speech Language Pathologist Location: Willows, CA Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: $2,915 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Skilled Nursing/Rehab Willows, CA (7 day Availability) Role overview A Speech Language Pathologist is needed for a full time day shift contract at a skilled nursing/post acute rehab facility in Willows, CA, treating adult and geriatric residents. This is a 13 week new opening focused on speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in a SNF environment. Assignment details Location: Skilled nursing/post acute rehab facility, Willows, CA 95988 Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) / post acute rehab Position type: Contract, full-time, non permanent Contract length: 13 weeks (02/23/26 05/23/26) Schedule: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, 30 minute unpaid meal break Days: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat (actual work days set by facility schedule) Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Gross Blended Pay Rate: $58 - $68.60 per hour Order reason: New opening Key responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing safety. Provide therapy for dysphagia, aphasia, dysarthria, cognitive linguistic deficits, and voice disorders as appropriate in the SNF setting. Conduct and interpret bedside swallowing evaluations; collaborate with medical team regarding diet recommendations and aspiration risk. Document evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries in the EMR in a timely and accurate fashion. Educate patients, families, and facility staff on communication strategies, compensatory techniques, and safe swallowing practices. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and support discharge planning. Required qualifications and skills Active California SLP license and ASHA CCC SLP (or strong CFY considered per facility policy). Master s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. Prior SNF, acute, or post acute SLP experience preferred; new grads with solid clinical rotations may be considered. Current BLS/CPR for healthcare providers. Strong clinical skills in adult neuro and dysphagia, plus solid documentation and time management abilities
