Dignity Health Medical Group - Sierra Nevada a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation is a multi-specialty clinic with three locations in Grass Valley California. Along with our local affiliated Dignity Health hospital (Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital) we offer an integrated care delivery system that provides primary care for family medicine and internal medicine otolaryngology (ENT) hematology/oncology cardiology general surgery and neurology.
Responsibilities
Dignity Health Medical Foundation is looking for our next full-time Oncology RN in our Grass Valley clinics. This role will work closely with 2 medical oncologists and clinic staff, building close relationships with the patients and the community. While this clinic does not administer or mix chemotherapy, the RN will be responsible for providing education and support to hematology/oncology patients including clinical, hands-on expertise for port and picc care, IV hydration, and side effect management. This position is a Monday-Friday role (no weekends!) and may have the opportunity to float to other Dignity Health Medical Foundation infusion centers to assist with clinical care and administration of chemotherapy. Position Summary: Under general supervision the Oncology/Infusion RN performs patient assessments; provides direct patient care and administers treatments and medications; instructs patient and family in various self administered treatments and procedures; documents assessments observations and interventions; demonstrates professional growth and conduct; maintains equipment and supplies and initiates and maintains IV therapy and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Clear and current CA Registered Nurse (RN) license - ONS Chemo and infusion certificate (must be obtained within 30 days of hire) - ACLS through American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications: - Prior chemo mixing experience
Pay Range
$49.20 - $71.34 /hour
