Job DescriptionNow Hiring Dining Room Manager!This position is
responsible for all activities and staff in the Dining Service
Department under the direction of the Director, Food Service.
Responsible for quality of service delivery during meal service,
compliance with special diets offered by the community, and
communicating with the management company on all appropriate

- Develop a positive customer service culture in the dining room
through staff training.
- Circulate in the dining room to ascertain resident preferences
and satisfaction with meals.
- Screen, interview, hire, train, manage, and coach all staff in
the dining department in accordance with company protocol.
- Perform all staff evaluations as needed to ensure that all work
done in the dietary department is done appropriately.
- Schedule employees to meet the labor budget allowed for the
department and manage labor daily to control labor.
- Maintain a clean dining room. This includes all equipment,
walls, table tops and bases, and chairs.
- Foster teamwork with co-workers, show initiative in overcoming
obstacles, take actions which assist others beyond job
responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers,
residents, and visitors.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.Requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination is required as a condition of
employment
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with seniors!
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or
Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred in Business or a field related
to the position preferred.
- Minimum three years' experience in food service preferred. Must
have proven management experience and ability to manage staff.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Current ServSafe Certification required. Obtain/hold any local,
state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses
and/or certificates.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must meet all health requirements, including Health screening
and TB clearance
- Must pass state required fingerprinting and criminal background
process.
