Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services and Systems division is currently seeking a Project Manager Specialist - Microgrid and Distributed Generation to join our team. This position can be based in Wilsonville, OR, Littleton, CO, Lafayette, CO, Chandler, AZ, Houston, TX, Pleasanton, CA or Roseville, CA.

Position Overview:

The purpose of this position is to provide project management expertise in electrical, civil, structural and mechanical aspects of large, Design Build, Microgrid and Distributed Generation Projects. This role is responsible for the project management of microgrid Design Build projects. This role is charged with supporting the sales force and zone manager during the front-end sales process to ensure a seamless transition from quote into execution.

Skills and responsibilities include:
Knowledge and understanding of Design Build projects and process
Knowledge and understanding of Microgrid and Distributed Generation Projects.
Knowledge and understanding of concepts through final engineering.
Detailed knowledge of wind, solar, generation and battery storage technologies and applications.
Ability to integrate systems and manage a cross-functional work group through standard project process and procedures.
Construction estimating and sales support
Contract and subcontract knowledge and experience
Ability to implement project financial controls
Responsibility for project profit, loss, cash flow, inventory and forecast
Knowledge and skills to manage project scope changes
Ability to develop and maintain project schedules
Ability to work with and manage design teams
Ability to improve subcontractor inefficiencies
Ability to manage subcontractor budgets
Ability to set up and manage subcontractor AIA forms
Ability to manage safe work environment and program which includes but not limited to job site safety analysis, rigging plans, environmental risk planning, job audits, confined space programs and lock and tag procedures.
Ability to create and maintain project QA/QC process
Contingency planning expertise and knowledge
Ability to create, prioritize and maintain project action item list.
Ability to maintain accurate as-built documentation and punch-lists
Ability to maintain daily/weekly progress reports
Ability to support and manage multiple projects
Document control experience and expertise

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Associates degree from an accredited institution with minimum 7 years of project management experience OR high school diploma with minimum 20 years of project management experience.
Must be able to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the work location(s) listed. No relocation is being offered for this role.

Preferred qualifications:
Professional Engineer qualification
PMP Certified
Working knowledge of NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, NETA
Bachelors' degree in civil, structural, mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited institution

Position Success Criteria:
Successfully complete and maintain compliance with the company's safety program.
Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings.
Computer literacy. Working knowledge of all software packages relevant to successful performance of tasks including Microsoft Project, Primavera Scheduling software, and Microsoft excel, word, & powerpoint.
Demonstrated ability in verbal and written communication skills. Particular skill in communicating technical information to non-technical personnel, educating customers, and presenting information to internal and external customers.
Working knowledge of billing and invoicing practices for service.
Knowledge of parts, part masters, bill of materials.
Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical distribution equipment.
Demonstrated ability to provide service and represent company interests in developing customer relationships to assure long-term customer satisfaction.
Demonstrated capability in effectively managing multiple projects with various goals, deadlines, and budget constraints.
Demonstrated leadership and coaching/mentoring ability.
OSHA 30 Certification
First Aid and CPR Trained

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $98,400 - $135,300 a year.
