Job Description:
MV Transportation, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Fleet
Maintenance Manager who is dedicated to ensuring the reliability
and proper functioning of our public transport vehicles. As a
pivotal component of our operations team, this role requires a
dynamic individual who can help manage our extensive fleet services
across a range of transportation solutions in the U.S. and Canada.
This position is integral to maintaining our commitment to
providing safe and efficient transportation services. Assist in the
management of daily fleet maintenance operations, ensuring all
vehicles are in peak operational condition. Supervise and direct a
team of technicians and mechanics, ensuring effective maintenance
practices are adhered to. Monitor and ensure compliance with all
local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
Contribute to the development and implementation of preventive
maintenance programs. Maintain detailed records of fleet
maintenance activities and expenses. Initiate procurement of parts
and supplies, managing inventory effectively to avoid unnecessary
stock levels. Collaborate with other departments to optimize fleet
availability and performance. Assist in the training and
development of maintenance staff to enhance skills and improve
service quality. Proficiency in fleet management software Strong
leadership and team management skills Excellent organizational and
problem-solving abilities Knowledge of mechanical systems and
vehicle repair techniques Ability to manage a budget and control
expenses Effective communication skills ASE (Automotive Service
Excellence) certification preferred CDL (Commercial Driver’s
License) beneficial but not required
